Prom // Graduation

So it has been awhile since I've been able to consistently blog (probably since last fall). Well some major things have happened in my life and I've done a crappy job at keeping everyone updated.

I've been in Uganda for two months, making it challenging to blog and keep up with social media etc.

Before I want to get into anything Africa, I'd like to touch on 2 major high school events.
Prom and Graduation!!!!

P R O M
Prom was super fun and such a great way to conclude an eventful and exciting high school career. It was sad but the best fun dancing all night with my best friends. My dress was from a place called Lilla's Bridal. The service was really great and I did not feel pressured at all to buy right away. This was the dress of my dreams and I still can not believe I got to wear it! Thomas was yet again my handsome date and I am finding that every dance becomes more and more fun with him because he has become more comfortable around my friends.

Graduation was so super emotional for me. I have a friend named Amanda, and every time we see each other at sentimental times, we just cry. Well she was the one person I saw right after graduation and we lost it. So many tears. After the beautiful ceremony, my parents were no where to be found. By the time my friends and I wanted to leave for food, I found my mom!

Graduation came up quickly and I really did not have time to get a graduation dress. I was also told many times that a graduation dress was more of a hushed requirement because it was so stressed that this was a formal event. Well fyi to everyone graduating, it's not a big deal.
It is your graduation so wear what you want.

What I wanted to was leather leggings and my biggie t-shirt (come on this is just so me). But instead I ended up wearing a black dress with a necklace. I still love the dress but look how much happier I am in something comfortable
Do not pay attention to what everyone else is doing and do not be afraid to break some fashion rules being yourself.

My graduation ice-cream cake. yum.
